Nail of the Day - Essie Fashion Playground

Yes, I am still alive! It has been a while since I last published something... and you know, I can go on all day coming up with excuses and reasons for my disappearance, but it's not worth y'alls time.
Now that I have a cup of tea and a yummy chocolate-chip cookie (yes, the homemade ones) in my tummy, I'm ready to get down to business.
The last time I bought a bottle of nail polish was about 6 months ago. Coming from a nail polish addict, that is serious self-discipline right there. It wasn't until I bumped across Essie Fashion Playground while in CVS waiting for my photos to be printed did I break that record (happily so).

I have always wanted a nice pastel green polish, and this fits the bill right there. Fashion Playground is a creamy sea-foam green with a slight subtle shimmer. I believe it's from the 2014 Spring Collection.

It goes on somewhat sheer, however, it only took me 2 coats to my desired opacity. To avoid any streaking, I always do a very thin first layer, don't worry if there's streaks at first. Next, I follow it up with a regular second layer and the streaks should be covered by then.

Longevity is alright for me. Chips didn't start appearing until about the 3rd day, and that's with doing loads of cooking, gardening, and cleaning. :)

Another addition to my Inglot family

As the title suggests...
I have another addition to my Inglot Freedom System eyeshadow collection! :)

This all started when I proudly show off my palettes to my aunt. She was really impressed with the quality and price of the products that she wanted to head down to City Square JB to start her own. Two days later, I was in the car with my passport ready to cross the Malaysian-Singapore border.

I went there with my aunt with the intention to not get anything... but of course after a swatch here and there, I caved and got a really pretty frosty plumish pink (AMC shine 48).

This frosty darker toned pink would be perfect for adding some color during the fall and winter.

xoxo,
Rachel
