Loose Button Luxe Advent Calendar: 20th December

Happy Thursday! :)

 Behind the 20th door is the Armani Prive Cologne Spray Eau de Jade by Giorgio Armani. 

At first, I was thinking to myself *sighs* ANOTHER perfume?! ...
After some research, I found that this scent is unisex. I was pretty happy with the fragrance. I thought it was really fresh with a hint of masculinity. I gave this to my brother who really liked it as well.

The down side was the amount of product I got compared to all the deluxe size I've gotten to far. This sample was definitely the smallest, and something I could have easily received from the department store. On the side note, I thought the packing was really nice. :)

Loose Button Luxe Advent Calendar: 16th December

 Hey everyone!

I'm so glad that all my exams are over and it's OFFICALLY my winter break! *yay* If you exams have yet to end, hand in there! :)

With all these excitement, let's check out the 16th door, which is why you guys are really here for
Behind the door today is the Giorgio Armani Attitude.

SERIOUSLY?!?! ANOTHER perfume!? :(

Actually, correction - this is not a perfume, but a cologne for le homme. It smells really fresh with a hint of wood and spice. I really like it and will give it to my boyfriend to try out. The packing is pretty masculine as well, when I first opened the door, I thought it was a lighter at first.

Picture with a Christmas bear my boyfriend got me. 

In all, I was pretty surprise to receive a cologne. I personally thought it was a nice touch, but I know that it might not be for those who have no use for it.

I gotta get packing as I will be flying down the Arizona, USA tomorrow morning to be with my family! Keep your eyes out for a travelling post! :)

Loose Button Luxe Advent Calendar: 11th December

Hey guys! :)

for Day 11, I got the Giorgio Armani Fluid Master Primer.

I was pleasantly happy to receive this product as a primer is a definitely must have whenever I use any BB-cream or foundation. I have oily-combination skin and tend to move to the oilier (such a weird word :P) side whenever I have foundation on. With that said, my face make-up don't usually last long when I go out with all day even with a primer on. With that all being said, I curious how this would work with my skin-chemistry.

The sample contained 5mL of product, which I thought was pretty small seeing how you need to use it on your entire face.

The entire Giorgio Armani line is pretty pricy, with this primer retailing at 92bucks! You can check it out on amazon,  they usually have lower pricing compared to retail stores.

What are you guys' favorite face primer?!?

Loose Button Luxe Advent Calendar: 9th December

Hey guys! 
Hope your December is going well so far. 
Today will be a super short post. Sorry about the dark pictures, the lighting in my room is hard to photograph with. 

Behind door 9 today is another skin-care product... 

...Giorgio Armani Regenessence [3.R] Multi-corrective rejuvenating cream.

I did a little research and here was what the Giorgio Armani site described this product as:

Acts on skin surface to reduce wrinkles, firm skin, correct tone and texture irregularities, and provide 8 hours of hydration. In a silky lightweight texture that leaves skin feeling like velvet. For use day and night after the REGENESSENCE [3.R] Youth Regenerator.

This product goes along with the Regenessence Youth Regenerator, which I got back on the 4th of December. I will link the blog post here if you wanna check it out :)  

Like what I've said in that post, I will be giving this product to my mom when I visit my parents this Christmas holiday.

Loose Button Luxe Advent Calendar: 8th December

It's crazy how time flies! Now we're at the 8th door.

Behind this door was the Giorgio Armani's Eyes to Kill Mascara

I love any eye-related makeup products and am such a sucker for mascaras. My lashes are pin-straight and like my hair, totally hard to curl and to keep it curled. I have heard some raves about this mascara and I was pretty excited to finally receive another makeup product after all that skincare and perfumes.

 After trying it out, I found that this mascara is really good for lengthening and volumizing. My eyelashes was super long and 'thick' after, however; it did not manage to keep the lashes completely curled :(. To think of it, it seems like nothing holds my curls as perfectly as the Maybelline Illegal Length mascara.

This was the perfect pair with my Maybelline mascara. It added so much volume and further lengthens my lashes to give an illusion that I have a set of full and long lashes! :) I love that it did not clump at all. The brush applicator ensures that all the product applies evenly on my lashes. It's super build-able to go from natural to dramatic.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this product. I will definitely use it with my Illegal Length mascara to create really dramatic lashes. The price of the full-size product is for sure on the high-end range, it currently retails at $30.50 compared to $49.50 on amazon.

Loose Button Luxe Advent Calendar: 4th December

Hey guys,

Behind the 4th door, was the Giorgio Armani Regenessence [3.R] Youth Regenerator.

This product is claimed to contain 3 powerful regenerating ingredients to promote the regeneration of the skin. This is used to help firm, plump, and provide radiance and refined skin. It also claims that in "6 days, the skin will look visibly younger, wrinkles appear smoothed out, skin tone appears more even, and the radiance is visibly restored".

This can be integrated in both your day and night skincare routine.

I was pretty disappointed when I opened the door to see a small sized sample (3mL), especially after 3 days of impressively deluxe ones, this seems like a sample I could easily get over the counter. Being 21, I don't think this sample would be something within my interest range as I am not battling wrinkles or dullness (knock on wood).

However, looking at the reviews, I found loads of good reviews. This is something I would probably give my mom to try out :) and probably a good Christmas gift to someone who is in the market for a good anti-aging care. This product is pretty pricey, and retails for $140 on amazon.

Loose Button Luxe Advent Calendar: 2nd December

Hey guys :) For day 2,  I got the Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia perfume! I have no idea how much of a sample this is, but it is a pretty good size compared to those tiny sample vials that you would usually receive. 

Here's a comparison of the sample with a bottle of Essie nail polish. 

My 1st impression of the scent is that it is a mixture of sweet and floral notes. It is really light and refreshing. This smell brings me back to the beach, with an element of mystery in the background -- does that even make sense? Anyways, I think it would be a perfect scent for the summer and spring :) 

This bottle did not come with the spray, so I would apply a little on my wrist and my neck. 

It is currently 10AM and I have the perfume applied on both wrist and I will check back in a couple of hours to see how this wears!

Loose Button's 2012 Luxe Advent Calendar!

Hey everyone!

I was literally jumping for joy and excitement when I saw a box right when I entered my house. I knew for sure that it was going to be my long awaited Luxe Advent Calendar from Loose Button!

This is basically an advent calendar for December 1st all the way to the 24th. So, there are 24 deluxe size beauty products from Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani and Shu Uemura! I do not usually splurge on high-end beauty products, so this is definitely a great opportunity to try them out. :)

Unfortunately, for those who are interested in purchasing this limited edition calendar, it is sold out - I ordered mine back in mid-October. This was a definitely a splurge and costed me $109 + shipping.

Anyways, I would like for you guys to join me in the daily 'unboxing' surprise :) I will be blogging everyday from 1st - 24th of December about the product that is part of the specific day. :)
